We felt very honoured to be commissioned to design the ASPESI store in Madrid. The shop is located in the Salamanca neighbourhood, a high-end district of the city centre. The space is accessed via a magical courtyard, on the ground floor of a beautiful residential block. The store is spread across two floors, connected by a big and industrial-looking staircase. Women and children clothing items are located on the ground floor; while menswear, party outfits and casual clothes are located on the first floor.

 

Developing an interior design that could represent ASPESI’s brand identity, was a flattering challenge. Furthermore, we had to capture the creative ideas of the owners and translate them into a space that was already in itself quite extraordinary. To do this, we created different environments, all within the 70s typical exhibition architecture (White Box), where the scenery differed in each section of the store. White walls, black beams, wooden steps, various Dirk Van Dooren murals, towering vases - you ought to buy too - and several furniture designed by Alberto Aspesi, especially for the store, come together and provide a unique and exclusive space, totally worth visiting.
